The ASYCUDA Vessel Notification module was successfully launched on 6th September 2024, for all southern ports of Vanuatu. The module will facilitate incoming and outgoing Customs clearance of maritime vessels, online and paperless. The module will soon be deployed to facilitate the clearance of aircrafts too, and later to all northern ports of the country.
A journey that has taken us 8 years so far to complete about 70% of the anticipated Project activities. Now scheduled to be completed in 2025, we look forward to continue working with the Project's Implementing Partner to implement the rest of the Project plans.
The Health Pharmaceutical module was successfully launched on 16th July 2024. Similar to past Single Window modules, the Pharmaceutical module will assist the Ministry of Health with its regulatory role in administering the imports of medicines and drugs into the country. The Ministry of Health has become the 8th agency to be using the Single Window system.
Single Window continues to assist its user agencies to collect revenue as legislated under their respective laws. For Customs, the average revenue collected in the system is currently sitting at vt1.4billion per month. Since Jan-Aug 2024, over vt11billion of revenue was collected in the system.
The concession module of the Single Window system was implemented on 26th January 2023. Currently applications for Industry, Tourism and temporary imports concessions are processed online in the system. Other concessions can be included into the module when required.
