To verify the authenticity of Vanuatu's SPS Export Certificates and to protect Vanuatu's export markets, SPS Export Certificates can now be verified online for authenticity.
Biosecurity Vanuatu allows the importation of certain plant and plant products from certain Suppliers only. This means that it is prohibited to import these specific products from other suppliers. To further strengthen Biosecurity controls at our borders, the clearance system has been enhanced to ensure only SPS goods approved by Biosecurity Vanuatu are imported or exported from Vanuatu. This is done by automating the write-off of SPS documents in the system. It will be mandatory to attach SPS documents to Customs declarations, not as PDF files, but as linked SPS e-documents, approved in the Single Window System.
